This is WIPLa's business model for next-generation arts investment and cultural sector development:
After studying business models across the country, WIPLa Board members realized that direct investment with creative professionals is the wisest, most sustainable means of building a community's cultural economy.
We do not accept government funding, and do not believe that government should be responsible for developing the creative sector.
Private investment attracts serious business - and WIPLa is applying that principle to the creative economy in North Louisiana.
Our business model is heavily influenced by Ed Morrison's theory of "Strategic Doing," and we closely follow the principles of flat leadership.
Intelligent, creative people no longer operate in archaic, hierarchical environments. Early on, our board received instruction on Strategic Doing, and we have successfully implemented its methods in our leadership and community outreach.
