FREE workshop for cultural consumers and creative professionals in North Louisiana

September 17, 2015

Topic: "The Creative Marketplace: Connecting Buyers and Creative Professionals in North Louisiana"

When: Saturday, September 26 from

1:00 PM - 3:00 PM

Where:  Bossier Arts Council @ 630 Barksdale Boulevard, Bossier City, LA

Who: This workshop is free and open to the public.  Interior designers, buyers, decorators, architects, collectors, builders, developers, and consumers of cultural goods/services are encouraged to attend.  Creative professionals are also invited to learn more about the Creative Marketplace and how we can help you market your work throughout North Louisiana.  This workshop is sponsored by Works In Progress Louisiana and the North Louisiana Art Gallery.

Why:  Consumers, real estate developers, nonprofit agencies, investors, hospitals, schools, universities, and government agencies drive regional economic development by creating jobs and facilitating community engagement. These “anchor institutions” and private consumers make intentional and targeted investments in community development - but they often look beyond their own communities to meet their creative needs. The Creative Marketplace allows buyers in North Louisiana to hire local professionals, and make meaningful investments in local and regional cultural businesses.
