Workshop description:

Artists across North Louisiana need to know:

-As an artist, how do I approach a new gallery?
-How does the gallery/artist relationship work?
-What is a standard gallery commission?
-How do I negotiate a gallery contract?
-Is my work gallery-worthy?
-How can I safely transport my work to an out-of-town gallery?
-Should I agree to exclusive gallery representation?
-How will my gallery art sales affect my taxes?

North Louisiana native and internationally-represented painter Bill Gingles, M.A., will offer his expert advice on these topics and more at our next Works In Progress Louisiana workshop. An intensive Q&A session will follow.

Mr. Gingles is currently featured in a retrospective exhibit at the Orville J. Hanchey Gallery at his alma mater, Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, Louisiana.
